Login and roles

service.monitor web application can be invoked in the web browser via the web address

http[s]://[SERVER]:[PORT]/monitor

The user needs to log into service.monitor before using the application’s functionality. Additional functions are then available to the user — depending on the assigned roles and associated rights.

In the standard version, the login takes place with the integrated user monitor. It is possible to integrate with security.manager to give pre-existing users access to the application. The information below refers to this case.

Roles

A non-registered user is not able to use the functions of service.monitor. The roles denote the rights which are assigned to a user. The administrator must assign at least one of the following roles to each user beforehand:

  • mon_Administrator (Administrator)

  • mon_Redakteur (Editor)

The following roles are defined by default.

mon_Redakteur

A user with this role is able to use following functions:

  • Registration of a job

  • Management of jobs

  • Statistics

An editor may create services and manage associated jobs. He can access his own services and jobs as well as those from his group. In terms of the multi-client capability of the application, this role is sufficient for the normal use of service.monitor.

custom multi tenancy

mon_Administrator

The administrator has full access to all services and jobs. He has read and write permissions for any kind of service and job. He is able to see which user has created which services. This applies to the entire instance across tenant boundaries.

sM_Administrator

A user with this role can invoke the User Management and register new groups or users.
