Login and roles
service.monitor web application can be invoked in the web browser via the web address
http[s]://[SERVER]:[PORT]/monitor
Login
The user needs to log into service.monitor before using the application’s functionality. Additional functions are then available to the user — depending on the assigned roles and associated rights.
In the standard version, the login takes place with the integrated user monitor . It is possible to integrate with security.manager to give pre-existing users access to the application. The information below refers to this case.

Roles
A non-registered user is not able to use the functions of service.monitor. The roles denote the rights which are assigned to a user. The administrator must assign at least one of the following roles to each user beforehand:

mon_Administrator
(Administrator) -
mon_Redakteur
(Editor)
The following roles are defined by default.
mon_Redakteur
A user with this role is able to use following functions:

Registration of a job
-
Management of jobs
-
Statistics
An editor may create services and manage associated jobs. He can access his own services and jobs as well as those from his group. In terms of the multi-client capability of the application, this role is sufficient for the normal use of service.monitor.
