Monitoring a service will send requests to that service and create additional traffic. For this reason only those people who are authorized to do so by the service provider are permitted to use the service.monitor for monitoring purposes. The Job Registration function is for registering monitoring jobs. Here, the user is able to configure services to be monitored and supply the system with monitoring parameters. It is necessary for at least one job to be defined for each service. That means, that the last job of a service cannot be deleted (the service itself should be deleted instead).
Once the parameters have been entered, the service job can be saved (Save changes). The relevant data is stored and the service/job is added to the management table (start page of service.monitor) for later administration.
