Long Term Security Support (LTSS)
For selected products (see table Current LTSS versions), so-called Long Term Security Support (LTSS) releases are provided. These versions ensure long-term stability and security for productive installations.
LTSS versions are regularly monitored for known security vulnerabilities (CVEs). If necessary, security patches are provided as bugfix releases, so that upgrading to a new minor or major version is not required.
Scope of Services
The following services are included as part of the Long Term Security Support:
-
Monitoring of Security Vulnerabilities (CVEs)
All LTSS versions are continuously checked for known vulnerabilities. -
Security Patches for Relevant CVEs
For security vulnerabilities classified as HIGH or CRITICAL regarding to the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) , patches are released in the form of new bugfix releases.
Support duration and release cycle
-
The support period for an LTSS version is 3 years from its release date.
-
New LTSS versions are released every 2 years to ensure an overlap period. This allows for planned migrations between LTSS versions.
-
LTSS versions are covered by the standard support entitlement as defined in the con terra support policy.
