Lifecycle platform products

con terra products follow a lifecycle. The products are divided into platform products and extension products. Platform products form the basis for con terra’s GeoIT solutions. Their lifecycle is therefore geared towards long-term stability. The individual phases and the current lifecycle stage of the individual platform products are shown below.

Lifecycle phases

The lifecycle for con terra Technologies platform products consists of four phases. The individual phases and the associated services are described below.

Information on the Lifecycle Phases

General Availability

The latest major version of a product is usually in the General Availability phase. This version is actively developed further. It is recommended to always use the latest minor version.

Extended Support

Lifecycle phase after the release of a new main version. The version continues to be maintained. The Extended Support period should be used to plan the migration of a solution to the current main version.

Mature Support

At this point at the latest, a solution should be upgraded to the current major version. If this is not possible, it is recommended to continue operating the solution in Extended Lifecycle Support.

Lifecycle status of the Platform Products

The lifecycle phases of the individual con terra Technologies platform products are shown below.
