What’s New

With this first release of security.manager for OGC, a comprehensive solution for fine-grained authorization of OGC services is available:

Supported service types:

  • OGC Web Map Service (WMS)

  • OGC Web Feature Service (WFS)

  • OGC Web Feature Service Transactional (WFS-T)

Access control:

  • Restriction of visible layers or FeatureTypes

  • Spatial restriction of the area in which objects are visible

  • Restrictions on editing functionality for transactional services

Authentication and authorization:

  • Integration with Identity Service for role-based access control

  • Support for various identity providers via the Identity Service

  • Fine-grained assignment of rights to roles

Configuration:

  • Simple configuration via JSON files

  • Flexible policy definition for various access patterns

  • Support for spatial geometries for area restriction
