System Requirements

Server

The server on which the Identity Service is installed must meet the following requirements:

Hardware

For operation in a productive environment, we recommend at least the following hardware specification:

  • 2 processor cores

  • 500 MB free RAM

  • 8 GB free disk space

The requirements increase with the number of requests on them.

Java

  • OpenJDK/OpenJRE 11*, 17

  • Oracle JDK/JRE 11*, 17

Application Server

  • Apache Tomcat 9.0

Operating System

  • Windows

  • Linux

Identity Service is a Java-based application and runs on any supported operating system if the JDK/JRE requirements are met.

Database

  • Oracle Database 18c*, 19c

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2019*, 2022

  • PostgreSQL 13*, 14

Virtualization

The Identity Service may be included in custom containers (e.g. Docker ). Containers created with Identity Service must meet the system requirements listed above regarding e.g. Apache Tomcat or Java versions.

  • Versions marked with * might be replaced in one of the next releases in favor of a newer one.
