Required software

To run smart.finder, install Apache Tomcat and Java on your system. For the versions that are compatible with smart.finder, see the System requirements section.

Java

To install Java, go to the Java Download page .

Apache Tomcat

Go to the Apache Tomcat download page .

If you do not know which file you need, download 32-bit/64-bit Windows Service Installer for a Windows installation. For more information about the installation process, see the Tomcat setup documentation .

If your system environment requires special proxy server settings, you may need to customize them in Tomcat.

Apache Solr

If you do not yet have a Solr instance available, open the Apache Solr download page , select the appropriate variant for your environment and install it according to the Apache Solr specifications.

Use the full variant as Apache Solr distribution. The slim variant does not contain the required modules and is therefore not suitable.

map.apps

If you do not yet have a map.apps instance available, install map.apps according to the instructions.
